How did we do it? We understood Imperial Tobacco’s vision for a new way of working, putting sustainability, and the health and wellbeing of their staff at the heart of the design.
The four-storey building is concrete framed, with a striking zinc-clad façade and extensive glazing and curtain walling. We built two blocks with plenty of modern open plan offices, creative break out spaces and meeting rooms themed around different countries where Imperial Tobacco operate, linked by a three-storey atrium.
But it doesn’t only have great working spaces. As Imperial Tobacco wanted to enhance the health and wellbeing of its staff, the building also includes a restaurant, a gym, prayer room and a humidor. And we installed charging points for electric cars and motorbikes to encourage staff to reduce their carbon footprint.
