BAM Construction has completed the new Glenwood Health Centre in Glenrothes.
The new £4.25m facility for NHS Fife, located on Napier Road, is the first project completed under the East Central Hub framework and provides purpose built accommodation for the nine GP’s from the Lomond Medical Practice and Glenwood Medical Practice.
Replacing outdated existing facilities, the two storey building, provides both consulting and treatment rooms and was designed by architects, Halliday Fraser Munro. The building, which incorporates many sustainable and low energy features, has attained a BREEAM Excellent rating.
Doug Keillor, Regional Director, BAM Construction said, “It is a credit to our project manager and his team that he not only achieved completion on time and on budget, but also defect free.”
BAM Construction is currently working on a number of healthcare projects including a new Teaching Facility at Southern General Hospital and a new child and adolescent mental health unit on behalf of NHS Tayside.
