The Metropolitan Police has confirmed BAM Construction’s involvement with its new Headquarters building in central London.
Jane Bond, Director of Property Services at the Metropolitan Police said:
"We are pleased to confirm that BAM have been appointed to provide pre-construction services for the development of the scheme design and construction contract as part of a two-stage process for the refurbishment works at the new Metropolitan Police headquarters, Scotland Yard. These works, designed by renowned architects AHMM, form part of our continued effort to deliver a more modern and efficient police estate for London and we look forward to working with BAM to bring this important and exciting project forward."
Mike Donegan, construction director for BAM Construction in London, said: “This is an historic building, and an important client, so we are pleased to have this pre-construction opportunity to assist the Metropolitan Police and their partners with this impressive scheme. We know how good AHMM are from our work on the Angel Building, and as the recent remodelling of Africa House shows we have the pedigree and expertise to deliver complex and sensitive central London structures.”
