Graham Cash will become chief executive of BAM Construct on 1 April 2010. He succeeds Richard Gregory who retires from the company following 43 years of service, many in senior management positions. Stephen Fox becomes chief executive of BAM Nuttall, also from 1 April 2010. This will allow Martin Rogers to concentrate on his Royal BAM Group executive board roles that include the UK and Ireland. The management boards will be: BAM Construct: Graham Cash, Richard Bailey and John Burke. BAM Nuttall: Stephen Fox, David Belsham, Robert Treadgold and Geoff Renshaw. BAM companies in the UK have a combined annual turnover of approximately £1.75bn. BAM Construct is busy on a range of major construction projects throughout the UK including new hospitals in Wales and Scotland, corporate headquarters buildings for Severn Trent Plc and the Co-operative Group, the Transport Museum in Glasgow and many projects in the education sector. BAM Construct’s construction and FM businesses work closely with BAM PPP on school projects. Together they have completed 35 schools funded by public private partnerships or as part of the Building Schools for the Future programme (BSF) They are currently bidding for another three waves of the BSF programme. BAM Construct is also one of the chosen contractors on the National Contractors Framework to build academies. BAM Nuttall has a UK wide portfolio that includes extensive infrastructure and landscaping works on the 2012 Olympic Games Park, the refurbishment and upgrade of Tottenham Court Road underground station, the provision of a new berthing facility at Rosyth naval dockyard, the upgrade of the rail link between Birmingham and London for Chiltern Railways. BAM Nuttall is also constructing new facilities at the Sellafield Nuclear energy plant, is involved in a significant framework contract with Network Rail and has just been awarded a Managed Motorways Framework Contract by the Highways Agency. BAM Nuttall and BAM Construct frequently work together on schemes, which include a project to regenerate the Kings Cross lands for Argent Plc and will soon be working on a major transport hub in Wolverhampton.
