Tata Technologies has appointed a contractor to develop its £20 million European headquarters in Leamington Spa, Warwick.

BAM Construction is the global engineering services firm’s preferred contractor for the purpose-built state of the art headquarters at Tachbrook Park. The offices recently received planning permission from Warwick District Council.

BAM is commencing on site this month to create the 63,000 sq ft office building that will house around 600 staff focused on emerging vehicle technologies, and forming part of Tata Technologies’ commitment to the UK as part of its continuing growth strategy.
 
The base will house Tata Technologies' engineering support services as well as a research and development centre aimed at further developing the company's capabilities and growth opportunities, especially in the automotive, aerospace and industrial machinery sectors. The Tata Group owns Jaguar Land Rover.
 
BAM will create the curtain-walled three-storey steel-framed building on a 3.85 acre greenfield site. Designed by architects Webb Gray, the building will contain a feature staircase and modern working environments. It will take the form of two wings with a central core and include the use of natural stone. Around 150 people are expected to work on the construction.

Two recent BAM-built HQ buildings in the Midlands are Severn Trent Water’s new headquarters in Coventry and Derby City Council’s headquarters.
 
Fusion Building Consultancy is Tata Technologies’ project management team, and their structural engineer is the Complete Design Partnership. The construction value of the work – which will complete in February 2017 - is approximately £14.5 million.
 
In June BAM was appointed preferred contractor for the £90 million Snowhill Three scheme in Birmingham, and it is currently at work on the £37 million Science and Health Building for Coventry University. To the south of the Tata Technologies scheme, BAM is working on the Coral Springs Retirement Village in the village of Witney.
